TREASURING AMERICAN FAMILIES

Criminal Justice

& Law Enforcement

We believe that when justice is done right, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to the evildoers. In other words, you commit the crime; you do the time. Ultimately, law and order will fully come back to our country when America returns to her first love and the fear of the Lord. Reformation to biblical standards of justice will create a God-fearing Republic where the hearts of evil men will not be allowed to rest once again.

To look up to a government that establishes justice, insures order, cherishes virtue, secures property, and protects from every species of violence, affords a pleasure, that can only be exceeded by looking up in all circumstances to an overruling providence. Such a pleasure I hope is before us, and our posterity under the influence of the new government.

PRISON REFORM

The 1994 Crime Bill inadvertently turned the privatized prison system into a beast of mass incarceration. Many individuals are sitting in prison right now for nonviolent crimes. This system has destroyed thousands of lives, locking people away for millions to be made in profit. If Christ can teach us lessons and give us a second chance, this nation should have enough mercy to do so with those behind bars.

Great strides have been made under Trump Administration to right this wrong. Our goal with prison reform is to ensure furtherance for the policies proven to work in the First Step Act. KCP wants to mainly focus on those with a ten-year or longer sentence for nonviolent crimes. The focus would be on inmates who have practiced good behavior while locked behind bars, ensuring they have vocational training and work release programs. The work-release program will keep the prisoner under guard during employment, or the employer agrees to take full responsibility for the prisoner during their shift. The soon-to-be-released inmate will work a full-time job saving the money they accumulate while working until they are released from jail. This system of programs should prevent most prisoners from going back to jail.

That said, it is necessary to note a lack of severity in recent years regarding incarceration. 45% of state drug inmates serve less than one year in prison, and 20% are released within six months. Today, most violent criminals spend less time in jail than nonviolent criminals from the Clinton Era. About 20% of murderers and almost 60% of those sentenced for rape or sexual assault serve less than five years in prison. In short, felony convictions that lead to a prison sentence account for 40%.

RESTORING LAW & ENFORCEMENT

KCP supports Law enforcement in our nation. Without law and order, there is chaos and lawlessness. We value the men and women who risk their lives daily to protect and serve. We have witnessed propaganda that has crippled and wounded our nation’s law enforcement system. The minority’s opinion is that law enforcement is racist and designed to destroy black Americans. This lie has put a strain on our officers while their leaders have been left with no accountability.

Democrat ran cities are a cesspool of engineered lawlessness. Their mayors and chief commissioners’ leadership is ultimately responsible for the high-profile “police brutality” showcased on the evening news. Many fail to realize that the political leaders of these cities happen to be people of color. This alone weakens the woke mob’s propaganda that wants to hold police responsible for the horrendous consequences fatherlessness brings in our communities.

Current mainstream reforms push for the neutering of law enforcement where a defunded police force is left babysitting the community by handcuffing its authority rather than handcuffing the criminals. KCP advocates to bring back traditional law enforcement filled with integrity. We believe law enforcement should focus on the demographics of their city and adhere to the need of that region. The Bible clearly states that authorities do not strike fear in people who do right but for the evildoers.

We need to bring back STOP and FRISK where there is high violence and crime regardless of race. Our concern is not race; our concern is law and order. Numbers do not lie. While we recognize some cases of bad policing, most men and women who serve are good people.

ABORTION

Abortion is murder, and everybody knows it. Plain and simple. God’s word tells us that He hates the shedding of innocent blood. Every human’s life begins at conception and ends at natural death. Our country legally recognizes child sacrifice as a choice to be accepted, even celebrated. Identifying as a victim has become a status symbol for many today, freeing an individual from personal responsibility. Victimhood justifies the fickle feelings of parents who seek to sacrifice their child on the altar of convenience rather than sacrifice for their child. One of the biggest arguments abortion advocates use is for rape and incest. However, less than 2% of all abortions are due to rape and incest. The reality is abortion is used as a form of birth control.

Roe vs. Wade (1973) was an unconstitutional and unjust ruling by a conservative SCOTUS majority. In Planned Parenthood vs. Casey (1992), another almost exclusively conservative majority SCOTUS ratified abortion. The Bible says, “Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression” (Isaiah 10:1). We do not support legislation regulating abortion, including 20-week bans and heartbeat bills. KCP will not participate in trimming the branches of the abortion tree; we call for its immediate abolition, ripping it out root & stem. More than 62,000,000 babies have been slaughtered, and generations of families destroyed. KCP supports the prosecution of abortion perpetrators and accomplices alike. If states can ignore the Federal Beast and make marijuana legal, they can defy Roe and enforce existing state laws or make abortion illegal again. Give justice to the weak and fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 82:3-4)

PEDOPHILIA

Pedophilia has plagued our children in this country for too long. The severity of punishment is never equal to the pain forced upon the victims. Sexual abuse in a child has been proven to cause sexual confusion and distort the brain regarding social and sexual relationships. Currently, pedophilia is a crime that will result in some jail time and a lifetime of registry as a sex offender. Nonetheless, it is still happening in this country at a rapid rate.

This sin has found its way in the most elitist of places. Many politicians, business moguls, monarchs, entertainers are involved in full-blown pedophilia rings, and nothing seems to ever happen to them. KCP believes the moment high-profile personalities face legal and full consequences for engaging in pedophilia; the culture will change in that area.

CHILD TRAFFICKING

Child trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. Minors are common targets for traffickers because most vulnerable children are naïve. The International Labor Organization estimates 25 million victims of human trafficking worldwide. More than 50,000 individual victims are trafficked into our country every year. Slavery still exists today. People are bought, sold, and smuggled daily through our international airports and across our borders. The Lord is clear about how we are to address man-stealing in His word; “Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.” (Exodus 21:16)

Studies consistently report that 50-90% of child sex trafficking victims have been involved in the child welfare system. This only solidifies our resolve to dismantle and reform our foster care system. There are thousands of undocumented children in the welfare system who are easily exploited because there is no one to advocate for them. Instability creates opportunities for traffickers to reach out and bond with vulnerable children. These relationships are then used against the child to initiate sexual activity. Illegal immigration creates an unstable environment making it easy to exploit children.

KCP proposes strengthening our verification requirements for international travel through airports with passports, birth certificates, ID, or social security cards. Law enforcement should be able to request that adults show ID for the children they are traveling with. This will help deter child trafficking and make things safer for the child and the parents. In border cases, DNA testing for all children under the age of 18 and their parents should be verified before release or deportation.

BEARING FALSE WITNESS

Our nation has a long history of women’s rights and equal protection. However, the women’s movement has tilted way off course in our recent past. While it has historically been an honorable desire to protect our women, it is clear we have fallen short by believing the accusations of women without evidence. Accused men are no longer innocent until proven guilty. Sexual harassment allegations are all a woman needs to ruin someone’s life. We see countless examples of this on social media. Today, the #MeToo movement or what’s left of it has emboldened some to make false accusations that can cost someone their job, reputation, and the stability of life. While sexual assault and rape do exist, it would be dishonest not to acknowledge that people have used movements like these to bear false witness, which is devastating to someone’s life.

A lying tongue is an abomination to God (Proverbs 6:17). KCP proposes that a false witness would receive the same sentence that would have been given to the falsely accused. People sue today because penalties for false witness or purgery are not enforced. No one is held accountable. Indiscriminate accusations are prevalent because there are no penalties to fear. The fear of God and His consequences must return, so modern movements such as #MeToo and others can no longer be used to weaponize the powers that be to destroy people’s lives.

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)

“Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.”

Ecclesiastes 8.11 (ESV)

“The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.”

Romans 13:4 (NLT)

“There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.”

Proverbs 6:16-19 (NLT)
