This open letter to America was read during the For God and Country: Patriot Round-Up back in May 2021. Edmee Chavannes is a Co-Chair of the Kingdom Conservative Party.  

Dear America,

I just got back from overseas. They asked me how you’re doing. I usually can’t wait to brag about you. You’re the bomb!!! The greatest nation on the face of the earth… However, for some reason, it didn’t feel the same this time. I’m sure the latest presidential election has something to do with it. But I think this bitter-sweet optimism of mine stems from something deeper.

I still remember 25 years ago when I set foot on your soil for the very first time. Everything was so BIG!!! The roads, the cars, the houses, the refrigerators, the FOOD!!! There was such a fun and free atmosphere in the air. While I was not a Christian at the time, it warmed my heart to read “IN GOD WE TRUST” on your dollar bills. It felt like nothing could be impossible to those who believe. And oh, I wanted to believe. I dreamed that one day, you, America, would become my home.

You’ve been the promised land for so many. Many more are risking their lives every day to get a shot at the Dream. They want an opportunity to carry your giant grapes, drink your milk and taste your honey. The only thing is, for a while now, your grapes have been shrinking, your milk has gotten sour, and your honey is completely dry. I got to be honest with you, America. I love you too much not to tell you the truth. You have not been well for a very long time.

America, who told you you were naked? Where is your sight? Do you know who you are? You’ve become a shell of yourself. You’ve been tossed to and fro by the winds of greed, corruption, communism, feminism, racism, or should I say manufactured racism, addiction, pornography, perversion, witchcraft, and child sacrifice. The love of money has done a number on you, America. Giants of the land like Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Banks, or Gates, Soros, Schwab, let alone the CCP are all in the shadow, governing you. Your corrupt politicians, useful idiots, have been selling you out for decades. They’ve gone so far as using you to start endless and costly wars, interfere in foreign elections, push abortion, mass vaccination, and countless other demonic agendas worldwide under the guise of financial aid.

Couple this with crippling debt, inflation, and dependency; migrants who only want your benefits but couldn’t care less about your values. Values that YOUR teachers, in YOUR schools, yes, the ones that YOU fund, challenge every single day through indoctrination. How about generational welfare or bank and corporate bailouts all on the back of your taxpayers? Or a reprobate entertainment industry that mocks you viciously and an ungrateful news media that lies about you constantly? Pretty rich when you protect the freedom of the press through your first amendment. It’s a wonder you’ve stayed afloat, America. It must be God’s grace.

But for how long? Now, I’ve always known you to be peculiar or, let’s say, unique in some areas. For instance, your poorest are more likely to be obese, which is an anomaly compared to the rest of the world. Lately, your business owners are struggling to find workers. Unheard of in many parts of the world! But here’s my question to you, America: how did we switch from having missing children on your milk cartons to LGBTQ Pride Celebration on your cereal boxes?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Thomas Jefferson himself would think that tens of millions of babies murdered in their mother’s womb say that you don’t believe in the right to life, America. These babies and the millions of children stuck in the foster care system, say that you’ve taken your liberty for granted, America. In the name of pursuing happiness, this liberty of yours has turned into lust and lawlessness. If only our Declaration of Independence read, “The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.” Our Founding Fathers would have nailed it even better.

America, Baby Girl, it’s time for you to repent. You don’t have to stay in the mud. Leave the pig’s pen. Come to your senses and go home! Your Father is waiting for you. America, Miss Lady, it’s time to come back to your first love. Jesus, your Husband, wants His wife back. Entertaining and compromising with Jezebel is not a good idea, let alone cheating with her. America, Wonder Woman, It’s time you let go of the weight and the sin that so easily beset you. Don’t you know there is no better high than the Most High? It’s time to hear and obey God’s voice, yield to The Holy Spirit, and let His Word be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path.

The next time someone asks me how you’re doing, I want to praise God with all my heart for you again, America. See, I want the kind of America I grew up with… The one that brought me Little House on the Prairie and The Cosby Show. Long before Jerry Springer, Real World and Love & Hip Hop came on the scene.

I want to see the Church awake to righteousness, take her mantel to make true disciples, and thereby making YOU a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, America. I want to see those disciples have complete dominion over politics, entertainment, the press, business, education, finance, and by God restoring the integrity of our election system and get a hold of the global Marxist takeover.

I want to see your families restored America. Fathers, mothers, children, and in that order. I want to see your couples: one man and one woman wait to get married before having sex. I want children to be conceived in love and trained up in the way that they should go. I want to see them fulfill the call of God for their lives, not settle for a degree or a job for pay.

I want your inner cities to become outer cities where your youth are taught that all things are possible through Christ. I want to see them learn a trade, own their business, excel in their God-given gift, serve others, vote their godly convictions, respect authority, and run their neighborhood and cities in the admonition of the Lord.

I want to see your people give off their substance to a greater degree and help one another rather than relying on a godless, faceless, and heartless government. I want businesses and churches to fear the Lord, not lawsuits. I want them to do what’s right before God, divorce political correctness, and get on a newfound respect for Morality, Integrity, and Truth.

America, you can do it! You can humble yourself under the mighty hand of God; you can resist the devil and see him flee from you. You can take your proper place as a beacon of Jesus’ light and see other nations follow you as you follow Christ. I believe it is possible, America. Remember, all things are possible to those who believe.
