HQ – Bill G.

“We decided to homeschool after she had our first two children. She had already left the workforce and we just did what we needed to do. We bought a smaller house that we could afford on a single income and budgeted the money. It hasn’t always been easy, and we have had some tough financial times. We survived 3 major job losses over the past 38 years and several other crazy things along the way and we have managed to homeschool 7 children from start to completion.” Bill G.

“For me to quit my job and stay home didn’t work on paper but we felt so strongly that is what we were called by God to do and counseled by many brothers and sisters. We gave up and sold land we had purchased and set aside house plans we had already drawn up. But God…God provided! We have more than we ‘need’ and are so thankful we obeyed.” Cristina B.

“I read Voddie Baucham’s book Family Driven Faith. Then I repented, pulled my children from the government school, and my wife stays home and teaches them. We have just had to rearrange our priorities.” David F.

HQ – Kelly M.

“My children were in a private Christian school, and we did love it. At the beginning of the covid stuff they did remote for a time and when the school seemed undecided about what direction they were going to take we decided we might as well keep them home. Shortly after, my wife had an affair and I had to move. I still have my boys homeschooling with me at the helm during the day and I work at night.” Kelly M.

HQ – Allison C

“Hmmm…I fight to keep my youngest at home to school him. It costs me work, costs me fights with my ex, and yet…I do it because it’s right.” Allison C.

HQ – Wende L.

“For many years we have grown a garden, borrowed or made our own curriculum to make ends meet. There were really tight on the budget months, but every day is such a blessing to be home with my kids. The only thing I would do differently would be to homeschool sooner! He has provided in abundance. I am so thankful for the women and families he put in our lives to encourage and spur us on.” Wende L.

HQ – Paul S.

“I work 3 jobs totaling 70 hours a week starting at 3 am with 5 kids including one that is chronically ill. We homeschool all 5. Despite what seems insurmountable hurdles, we have all needs met. Great is His faithfulness.” Paul S.

HQ – Seth B.

It’s hard to say that we overcame an insurmountable situation. We just did it. I made a lot less when we started with our first two, but now we have eight and we’re still plugging along. God has blessed our effort. We are still a single income household. There have been times where we were worried that things weren’t going to work out, but God showed us time after time that our worrying was all in vain. Seth B.
