REBIRTH OF CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
The Government
We believe the government is a system of rule established by God as a tool of authority against evildoers. Our elected officials are public servants, and if they fail, we will expose them, especially those who seek to wield the sword of tyranny. It is high time we implement term limits, hold our elected officials accountable, and remove special interests.
“Term limits would cure both senility and seniority – both terrible legislative diseases.”
“No young man should go into politics if he wants to get rich or if he expects an adequate reward for his services. An honest public servant can’t become rich in politics. he can only attain greatness and satisfaction by service…. I would much rather be an honorable public servant and known as such than to be the richest man in the world.“
A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE
The federal workforce is larger and more highly paid than ever. Taxpayers spend an average of $35,000 a year per employee on non-cash benefits, triple the average non-cash compensation of the average worker in the private sector. Federal employees receive extraordinary pension benefits and vacation time wildly out of line with those of the private sector. We urge Congress to bring federal compensation and benefits in line with the standards of most American employees.
Our party supports streamlining personnel procedures to expedite the firing of bad workers, tax cheats, and scammers. The unionization of the federal workforce, first authorized by Democrat presidents in the 1960s, should be reviewed by the appropriate congressional committees to examine its effects on the civil service’s cost, quality, and performance. Union representatives in the federal workforce should not be paid to conduct union business on the public’s time.
TERM LIMITS
A Senate term is six years long, so senators may choose to run for reelection every six years unless they are appointed or elected in a special election to serve the remainder of a term. Simply put, any member of Congress can run as many times as they want. This is a recipe for unaccountability. Our elected officials no longer serve the people but lord their leadership over others. Our current pool of elected politicians is disgraced with notable old, tired, and senile crooks who have been pushing the same narrative since 1959.
KCP believes term limits need to be enforced upon congressional members to ensure accountability and remove the weight of stale leadership off of the American people’s neck. We also think America is filled with the brightest people in the world. Highly gifted young adults deserve an opportunity to embark on a servant leadership journey for their country. Filled seats of 30 years or more generate a form of dull leadership and take away opportunities from our young and gifted people to fulfill their God-given destiny.
THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY
Our Intelligence Community has turned into social engines full of corruption. When President Trump stated, “Drain the Swamp,” the CIA, FBI, IRS, DOJ, State Department, to name a few, should have been first on the list. They have used their title to gain the American people’s trust and have become an accredited seal for the leftist agenda against the interest of the American people. These agencies were designed to present their findings to the public while giving us the room as citizens to make the final decision. They have now become rogue. KCP proposes to regulate these agencies back to original design. Their job is to serve the American people with integrity while conducting research and investigation. Violating the Constitution through corruption is treason and a betrayal of one’s oath and the country they serve.
At the birth of this nation, treason resulted in capital punishment. The fear of God, through consequences, has to be instilled in these agencies’ leadership. If one is caught in any act of duplicity against our nation, the punishment must be extremely severe. Consequences need to be seen as a statement and warning to the rest of the country. Treachery will not be tolerated. We are at a point in American history where the cup of corruption overflows. KCP believes if the law of the land applies to the ordinary American citizen, it must also apply to the Intelligence Community. The truth is, it should be held to a higher account and standard.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Taxpayer money has been misappropriated, enslaving each American citizen with a debt obligation of over $500,000. Yet, America has seen little to no benefit from this amount of spending. We keep electing people who make blind deals and purchases while walking away richer than when they were first elected. Our nation is left to face the consequences long after they’re gone.
Work production within our government agencies is rarely assessed correctly. Auditing, management accounting, and financial reporting are three ways to better maintain accountability throughout our government agencies. Non-productive employees, apathetic and passive management run rampant. Productivity, time, and money are wasted, and this encourages corruption.
It is high time we stop frivolous and wasteful spending by first ensuring that each open government position is needed. We then want to fill the job position with a qualified God-fearing candidate, reducing the risk of errors, misappropriations, and fraud. KCP is looking to reverse the “easy-money” idea that comes with lifetime politicians to candidates who know the value of hard work and what it means to be good stewards in budgeting, hiring, and spending our taxpayer hard-earned money.
THE NATIONAL DEBT
Our Federal Government has been nothing short of irresponsible when it comes to our spending programs. Whether in good or bad shape, our economy has not been able to keep up with our national spending spree. As of the writing of this platform, our national debt is $27,203,384,382,939, notwithstanding liabilities incurred by Social Security and Medicare. Both Social Security and Medicare are projected to face a $100 trillion shortfall 30 years from now, which would increase our “national debt to 150% of GDP,” according to the Manhattan Institute’s Brian Riedl estimates.
KCP believes this fiscal Goliath can be taken down, but it will require three steps. First, America needs to REPENT. Our wealth was never meant to be our God. To whom much is given, much is required. Whatever happened to delayed gratification, cash on the barrel, saving for a rainy day? Our nation is in debt because our people are in debt.
Second, America needs to COLLECT. Our Republic must turn into a collections agency. Many nations, including Japan and China, collectively owe us. Collect the money owed to our country and use it to pay off part of the national debt. In some cases, a deal can be arranged to allow our debt to be forgiven in return for continuous relationships through trade. Nonetheless, it is time to collect all money owed to this nation.
Third, America needs to CUT BACK. Getting on a financial diet is a matter of life and death. All spending bills need to be investigated thoroughly and vetoed if proven to include frivolous or fruitless spending. When it is proven that our leadership commits treason with taxpayer money, the consequences should be severe. We propose to cease government spending aside from basic operating expenses that run the country until the national debt is zero. The national debt is a burden on future generations. We are “The land of the free and home of the brave.” Freedom from national debt is a responsibility each of us must uphold. The Scriptures admonish us to owe nothing but love.
“But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten.”
Exodus 18:21 (NLT)
“You must never twist justice or show partiality. Never accept a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and corrupt the decisions of the godly.”
Deuteronomy 16:19 (NLT)
