TREASURING AMERICAN FAMILIES
The Family
We believe the family is the very foundation that holds our country together. God created and ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman. God commands us to be fruitful and multiply, to live peaceable lives, and raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Holy family values produce the righteousness that will exalt a nation unto God.
“I have now disposed of all my property to my family. There is one thing more I wish I could give them, and that is the Christian Religion. If they had that and I had not given them one shilling they would have been rich; and if they had not that and I had given them all the world, they would be poor.”
SANCTITY OF LIFE
God hates hands that shed innocent blood. What is more innocent than a child in the womb? Regardless of how they were conceived, no child is a criminal. They don’t deserve to die a criminal’s death. KCP advocates for the abolition of abortion. The same way that slavery was abolished. KCP will not relent in seeing abortion become a pariah in our society, something to be shunned. We will no longer support unrighteous and iniquitous pro-life bills that legislate when it is ok to murder an image-bearer of God. We fully support any abolition bill that cuts off the head of the snake without exception or compromise. Jesus came to give life and life abundantly. KCP is in the business of promoting life from the womb to the tomb.
A culture of chastity and a spirit of adoption need to arise in our nation. Outside of the home, churches should be the first place where people learn God’s plan for the family, along with His will when it comes to sex. Our churches should be a haven for young men and women to find help in having or raising children they may not have planned to have.
Our taxes should go where the taxpayers want them to go. A majority of Americans do not support the funding of abortion through their hard-earned money. It is time for our national budget to reflect the people’s will under God. The $500 million taxpayers’ dollars that annually funds Planned Parenthood could easily be reallocated to help unwanted babies or struggling families.
There is an abundance of organizations and ministries dedicated to supporting families seeking abortions and people who want to leave the abortion business. All should at least find a ready alternative not to commit abortion. Resources should be placed in the hands of the people who want to help facilitate adoptions. It should not take an arm and a leg for people to adopt. Cut the unnecessary red tape!
Unless someone is forced to have an abortion, there should be legal consequences for anyone caught performing or having an abortion.
FOSTER CARE
The Federal Government annually sends billions of dollars to the States to subsidize their foster care system. This has generated an incentivized environment whereby the more kids are in the system, the more money they make. KCP believes that the existing foster care system needs to be defunded, dismantled, and reformed at the county level. Wasteful State spending has created job security for social workers and counselors, but the money rarely trickles down to the kids and their needs. Jesus’ second commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. We should be doing everything we can to keep the families together. By leading and teaching mothers and fathers how to be good parents, we can help keep the family structure intact.
Severe child abuse and neglect cases should be treated differently by charging and incarcerating parents for their crimes—sourcing local privatized group homes in the community to assist the children during this difficult time. In worst-case scenarios, we believe that local subsidies or local tax breaks should be given to families who choose to adopt children who may never return home due to the incarceration of the parents. It would also benefit the children to have access to programs and internships and involve the people of their community who are helping to take care them.
We must stop drugging our boys for “behavior issues.” They do not need drugs. They need trained advocates, love, and firm guidance. Accountability at a county level is more effective at preventing the trafficking of children and will prevent the corruption and defrauding of funds by state and local officials seeking to line their own pockets. County-level management will allow the families and the community access and provide accountability to one another. Community inclusion and familiar faces will help the children flourish.
SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE
Have you ever noticed how it always takes heterosexual parents to have a “gay” child? It always takes pro-life parents to have a pro-abortion child? It is time for marriage and childbearing to be upheld in the fear and the admonition of the Lord. It goes without saying that without a man and a woman getting married before God and man, marriage is no longer marriage. Any other variation can not make for a functional society.
LGBTQ+ unions are not, by definition, marriage. They should not be legally recognized. It should have never been acknowledged and voted into law by the Supreme Court. It was done against the will of the people and, most importantly, against the will of God. KCP advocates for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as God defines it.
OUT OF WEDLOCK CULTURE
The Bible says that true religion supports widows and orphans in their afflictions, not baby mommas and single mothers who have succumbed to unrepentant promiscuity. The sense of pride most women gloat in for being a single mother is alarming. Whatever happened to the shame associated with conceiving children out of wedlock?
The Out of Wedlock culture has produced generations of children raising children, weak and cowardly men leading the charge or being detached from the fate of the children they conceive. Any financial aid in the form of welfare incentives and benefits such as tax breaks should go to married couples and families that honor God. The Out of Wedlock Lifestyle should not be rewarded.
DIVORCE
In 1970 Governor Ronald Reagan signed the first “No-Fault Divorce” Law. By 1975 almost every state in the Union had also adopted No-Fault Divorce legislation. During 1970-75 divorce skyrocketed to upwards of 70%, being filed primarily by women who could now divorce for no reason. These women subsequently applied for welfare to support themselves and their children. By 1974 this had pushed most States to near bankruptcy. The Title IV-D Child Support Program was passed in 1974 to save the States from financial ruin. Our federal government incentivizes divorce and child support with taxpayers’ hard-earned money to the tune of billions per annum.
We have made divorce easy, and in many cases, fashionable. There is no shame in separation, and there is no fear of adulterous behavior. This acceptance of casual divorce and adultery ends here. Why? A little leaven spoils the whole batch. Adultery needs to be treated and handled like a crime, and divorce without just cause should not be granted. KCP is taking this stance to bring back the family unit, which provides stability and is the very foundation of our nation. Divorce should only be allowed for adultery (Matthew 5:32) or in the case of an unbelieving spouse who no longer wants to be married (1 Corinthians 7.15). It is our job as the people of God to discern wisely and marry someone to which we are equally yoked. Casual marriage and lust of the heart with zero accountability, biblically or legally, has produced a culture of disobedience to God through divorce, abortion, and sexual immorality. This party takes an uncompromising stance of upholding our marriage vows to God.
CHILD SUPPORT
Child Support is a government-controlled welfare system where Uncle Sam becomes the father to the child. This unconstitutional practice has caused a significant reason for socialism to permeate our nation. Churches should play a substantial role in tending to the poor or supporting a fatherless or motherless child. There is no biblical or moral accountability when you receive help from the government for your child through child support. However, when the assistance comes from the church, the parent has to give an account to the church.
Government should not have the ability to force a man to pay for his child. In some cases, when a man is forced to pay child support by the court, he feels as though he has “rightfully” done his job and loses all incentive to be an active part of his child’s life which encourages fatherlessness. Let God deal with him if that man is wicked enough not to take responsibility for his children.
An out-of-control bureaucracy created our current child support programs that are harmful to children, undermine the father-child relationship, are a complete waste of taxpayer money, promote vengeance and separation, socialist agendas, and deplete children’s moral values.
EUTHANASIA
In their unrelenting effort to bring the Culture of Death into the mainstream, they entice the uninformed to accept the premature killing of innocent life by using feel-good language that disguises the euthanasia lobby’s objective of what they describe as generational cleansing.
Euthanasia is the premature death by another man’s hand and, as such, interferes with the plan for life that God has in store for each one of us. At one time, you would have to travel to a fancy European country to schedule a personal euthanasia appointment. Nowadays, all you need to do is cross the bridge into Jersey. The practice is illegal in most states, but euthanasia legislation is gaining popularity across the nation. It has been introduced as a form of painless suicide for terminally ill and desperately dying patients. As with abortion, the medical community considers euthanasia a medical practice. There is never any justification for the shedding of innocent blood. Euthanasia is a form of murder, self-murder! KCP affirms Deuteronomy 30 that God sets before each of us life and death, blessing and curse…therefore, we choose life, that our children and our elders may live. We will fight for the people’s right to life from conception to natural death without exception or compromise.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Genesis 2:24 (NKJV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.”
Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)
